Dr. Michael Fallucco performs cosmetic, reconstructive, hand and peripheral nerve surgery in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to the southeastern United States for his higher education.
Dr. Fallucco received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a major in Economics and a minor in Chemistry. As a medical student, he was awarded a grant to travel abroad for a surgical mission trip to Chiapas, Mexico. While in Mexico, Dr. Fallucco was introduced to the creative and broad scope of reconstructive surgery thus sparking his interest to pursue a career in plastic surgery. He received his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and was accepted into a highly competitive plastic surgery residency at Saint Louis University. While in training, Dr. Fallucco was recognized for both his clinical and research endeavors. He was invited to present his research in plastic surgery at both national & international conferences. He received a first prize award for the best resident research at the prestigious American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS) 88th annual meeting. Dr. Fallucco has published his research in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, The American Surgery Journal, as well as The Canadian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He was one of the few nominees for “The Caring Physician Award” at St. Louis University in recognition of outstanding dedication to patients and families.
He began his plastic surgery practice in St. Louis with a unique focus on surgery of the peripheral nerve. He brings his clinical and research focus on surgical applications for migraines, diabetic neuropathy, and chronic joint pain to Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Fallucco’s other clinical interests include cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation using your body’s own regenerative cells.
