Tummy Tuck

Medically known as abdominoplasty, the tummy tuck is a very popular cosmetic surgery that men and women of all ages are seeking out; though not everyone is a good candidate for this surgery, those who are tend to be thrilled with the results. Tummy tucks are performed under general anesthesia and usually require a one-day hospital stay. Again, since each patient is unique, your stay in the hospital could be longer, though it’s rare.

Liposuction

Sometimes fat just does not go away no matter how often we exercise and how well we stick to a healthy diet. Thankfully, there are alternatives to get rid of that stubborn fat that may be affecting your self-esteem and your overall health.
There is a procedure called “liposuction” that can be very effective in removing the fat deposits that diet and exercise could not. Though not all people are good candidates for this procedure, chances are if your health is good and you meet certain other requirements, board-certified Jacksonville, Florida cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Ankit Desai, can perform liposuction on those troublesome areas of your body. Dr. Desai has performed this procedure on thousands of patients; typically, liposuction is performed on the:

Desai plastics opening

Although our office will not be completely built until October, I look forward to becoming part of the Jacksonville medical community and plastic surgery community as soon as I return to Jacksonville fulltime. Neck Liposuction / Submental Liposuction

The undesirable contour of the neck can be due to excess fatty deposits under the chin. Neck liposuction or submental (under the chin) liposuction is performed through a small 3 cm incision under the jaw. After the infiltration of fluid, small liposuction cannulas suction the excess fat improving the contour of chin and neck line. Younger patients with mostly fat under the neck are the best candidates for this procedure.
Risks include bruising, swelling, contour irregularities, dimpling, temporary changes in sensation, temporary motor nerve weakness, and incomplete flattening of the neck due to particular anatomic variables.
The procedure takes about an hour and patients are asked to wear a chin strap for 7 days after the procedure. The recovery last 7-10 days and patients can generally return to work in 1 week. Thigh Lift – Jacksonville Body Contouring

A Thigh Lift can remove excess fat and skin from your thighs eliminating sagging skin and creating a more aesthetic contour. It is most commonly performed on patients that have lost a significant amount of weight after bariatric surgery. Depending on the amount of excess skin and laxity that you have the incision can be in the groin crease or along the inside of your legs. The procedure involves liposuction of the thighs and then excision of the excess skin along the groin crease in order to elevate all the loose skin. If there is moderate amount skin excess and fat, you may require an incision along the inner thigh to decrease the total circumference of your thighs as well. A Thigh lift can be combined with order body contouring procedures to maximize your results.
