The buildup of excess fat and/or inelastic skin in the upper neck and under the chin is a very common (and frustrating) condition. It can happen to anyone, even people who are in excellent health and tip-top physical shape. Fortunately, there are numerous treatments available that can effectively address signs of a “double-chin” and create a more defined profile and beautiful new contours in this area. The plastic surgeons at Florida Plastic Surgery Group offer several treatments to reduce the appearance of a double-chin, including a non-surgical option that can reduce excess fat with a simple injectable procedure. During your initial consultation, our doctor will evaluate your concerns and determine whether a surgical or non-surgical procedure is the most ideal… Continue Reading

We offer the COSMOPen microneedling system which is an excellent option for enhancing overall skin tone/texture, treating fine lines, decreasing the appearance of scars, and aids in the production of collagen to tighten skin for a more youthful look. Facial pores link to our sweat glands, and when they become “clogged” with oil or debris they can increase in size or appear larger. Enlarged pores are most directly related to our heritage and the natural process of aging. As we age our pores enlarge as the collagen, our skin’s support system, decreases and weakness over time. With saying that, microneedling enhances your skin’s collagen and improves the overall skin tone/texture and removes the superficial debris that clogs these pores. Microneedling… Continue Reading

COSMOPen microneedling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a non-invasive facial rejuvenation option. This innovative aesthetic treatment utilizes micro-sized sterile needles to puncture the skin creating temporary micro-channels. This technique creates “micro-trauma”, which stimulates the body to produce new collagen and elastin resulting in tighter and firmer skin. Initial results will typically be apparent after two treatments with more significant results seen after 3-5 treatments. You will continue to have collagen remolding between 6-12 months following the procedure. As with any procedure or surgery, the natural aging process continues, but this will “reset the clock” back approximately 3-5 years providing an overall more youthful look. Most often microneedling is performed on the face and neck, and the… Continue Reading

Our most common surgical facial rejuvenation options include: eye lid surgery (blepharoplasty, both upper and lower), eye brow lift, face lift, neck lift, and autologous fat grafting to the face. A blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin at the lower and/or upper eyelids to restore a more youthful appearance. The natural process of aging results in laxity, excess skin, and overall lack of volume/firmness to the eyelids. This leads to the appearance of drooping (ptosis) of the eyelids, which can obstruct your vision, and ages the face. Face lift or rhytidectomy is among the top five most common cosmetic surgical procedures performed in the United States.  Commonly, a neck lift is performed simultaneously with the… Continue Reading

We offer several non-surgical facial rejuvenation options ranging from individualized skin care regimens, dermal facial fillers, Botox®, to micro-needling. Skin care regimens are personalized to address your skins texture, tone, and fine lines. Based on your skin you would recommend products that would improve any or all of these problem areas. Texture and fine lines can be addressed with a topical hyaluronic acid, such as Teoxane, or in combination with a tretinoin. Those who suffer from “sun spots” or melasma most often see improvement in their skin tone with a topical hydroquinone in combination with a tretinoin. Invidualized skin care regimens can be designed to fit your needs. Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm Ultra Plus® XC, are utilized to “fill in”… Continue Reading

There are many types of lasers on the market. The most common categories are non-ablative and ablative lasers, which can be in the fractionated or unfractionated form. Non-ablative lasers are less abrasive on the skin, but not generally as effective at skin resurfacing as ablative lasers. When the lasers are fractionated it increases the number of treatments that may be required, but it lessens the overall recovery and downtime. The greatest recovery is associated with the ablative lasers, which most often produce the greatest results when compared to other types of lasers. Chemical peels are often offered at MedSpas, dermatology, and plastic surgery offices. It is a topical solution that is applied to the face, resulting in the top layer… Continue Reading

COSMOPen is an advanced medical grade micro-needling system utilized to induce collagen formation offering an excellent non-surgical facial rejuvenation option. Micro-needling is also referred to as skin needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). This advance aesthetic technique is performed by puncturing the skin with mirco-sized sterile needles, which create micro channels, thereby stimulating the body to produce new tissue and collagen leading to tighter and more firm skin. This technique treats the deeper layers of the skin with minimal trauma and without thermal damage to the superficial layers of the skin, resulting in a faster recovery and optimal results. The COSMOPen is an excellent non-surgical skin tightening system that treats scars, fine lines/wrinkles, acne scars, depigmentation, and photo damage to… Continue Reading
