We offer several non-surgical facial rejuvenation options ranging from individualized skin care regimens, dermal facial fillers, Botox®, to micro-needling.

Skin care regimens are personalized to address your skins texture, tone, and fine lines. Based on your skin you would recommend products that would improve any or all of these problem areas. Texture and fine lines can be addressed with a topical hyaluronic acid, such as Teoxane, or in combination with a tretinoin. Those who suffer from “sun spots” or melasma most often see improvement in their skin tone with a topical hydroquinone in combination with a tretinoin. Invidualized skin care regimens can be designed to fit your needs.

Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm Ultra Plus® XC, are utilized to “fill in” certain wrinkles of the face. Volume loss in the face can increase the appearance of static wrinkles, which are wrinkles present when the face is at rest. Dermal filler are most often injected into the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, peri-oral wrinkles, or lips and cheeks to deliver a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers may also be used in conjunction with other facial injectables, such as BOTOX® for dynamic facial wrinkles, to enhance your overall aesthetic appearance.

Botox® is an injectable neuromodulator, which is used to temporarily reduce the activity of certain muscles. Neuromodulators are a great cosmetic option for facial rejuvenation in those that have dynamic facial wrinkles, for instance “the common but unwanted eleven lines present between eyebrows.”. Dynamic wrinkles form with muscle movements, such as our everyday facial expressions, but disappear when the face is in a neutral state or at rest. In comparison, static wrinkles are present when the muscles are at rest, which develop with age and repetitive facial movements or expressions.

Microneedling is also referred to as skin needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). This advance aesthetic technique is performed by puncturing the skin with tiny mirco-sized sterile needles, which create micro channels, thereby stimulating the body to produce new tissue and collagen leading to tighter and more firm skin. Patients can expects some mild redness for 12-48 hours following the procedure with minimal to no discomfort. Initial results are typically seen after two treatments, more significant results are seen after 4-6 treatments, and you will continue to have collagen remolding between 6-12 months following the procedure. We have selected to offer COSMOPen, a micro-needling therapy, for our patients seeking skin resurfacing and facial rejuvenation. It produces excellent results after several treatments and it is easily tolerated by most patients with minimal recovery when compared to laser therapy.
