We are proud to represent and host the Jacksonville BRA Day now for the thirteenth year!
Women diagnosed with breast cancer have so many different options these days and we’re here to make sure you know what they are. It is critical that you know there ARE options for you.


Florida Plastic Surgery Group hosts this wonderful event to reach out and educate all those affected.  We realize it is tough to understand or see what a patient can expect from their breast reconstruction choices via a 2D photo. Through this unique event patients and their caregivers can learn about various breast reconstruction options, and see first-hand in a private one-on-one setting with some of our past patients in a private dressing area what a reconstructed breast looks like and hear their journeys.  FPSG hopes you will meet some new friends who have been down this road before and one day can help someone else who is just starting their journey.

BRA Day Goals

This is an international event that was started in Canada by a plastic surgeon and spread to the USA in 2012. The goal is to raise the level of knowledge about breast reconstruction based on 3 pillars:

  • All women who are candidates for breast reconstruction should be made aware of the options available to them.
  • All women who are candidates for breast reconstruction should be offered treatment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Federal law mandates a percentage of coverage for breast reconstruction for all breast cancer patients, even if such reconstruction is delayed until after other treatments.

  • Lumpectomy/Radiation symmetry procedures.

We will also have various vendors on site to demonstrate the latests in breast implant devices, surgical devices used in the operating room to make your breast reconstruction possible, skin care products, physical and occupational therapists,
3-D tattoo nipple areola artist and many more.
