Buttock or Gluteal Augmentation (sometimes referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift) is performed for patients who want fuller, more defined buttocks. With this procedure, patients can create more rounded buttocks with an improved aesthetic and minimal scarring. Buttock Augmentation is performed by injecting your body’s own fat from the abdomen or thighs into the buttocks to give more volume and definition. The fat grafting procedure involves harvesting of fat via liposuction from an area in your body where there is an excess. The fat is then processed and injected into your buttocks. Since some of the fat will resorb with time, a little more fat is injected into the buttocks at the time of surgery to compensate for this anticipated volume loss. The procedure not only creates a better buttocks, but the liposuction of fat from somewhere else in your body can give you leaner thighs or a flatter abdomen. The procedure involves extremely small access incisions (< 1 cm) and often requires a second stage to full create the enhancement you desire.
At Florida Plastic Surgery Group, we believe that patients, their desires, and anatomy are all unique. Therefore, our doctors evaluate each patient and create a customized surgical plan for all of their patients to meet their expectations.
