Patient 1

This 57 year old female is 5 feet and weighed 167 pounds at the time of her surgery. She presented to our office for breast reconstruction revision following a previous bilateral mastectomy in 2017 followed by implant based reconstruction. She elected for bilateral removal of implants, capsulectomies and placement of DIEP flaps and Phasix to the abdomen. For her final stage of reconstruction she elected for bilateral nipple/areola reconstruction.

Patient 2

This 49 year old female is 5 feet 2 inches and weighed 150 pounds at the time of her surgery. She presented to our office for a breast reconstruction revision following a previous bilateral prophylactic mastectomy with tissue expander to implant based reconstruction in Washington, D.C in 2014. She elected for bilateral removal of implants, open capsulectomies, pectoralis major advancement flaps and DIEP flaps with Phasix to the abdomen. At her final stage she elected for bilateral nipple/areola reconstruction.

Patient 3

She is status-post prior breast reconstruction surgery with another practice and came to Florida Plastic Surgery Group for breast reconstruction revision surgery.

Patient 4

This is a 65 year-old female who was diagnosed with DCIS in 2014 to her right breast. Subsequently she elected for a lumpectomy with adjuvant radiation therapy. Due to chronic wound healing she elected for bilateral mastectomies with a right latissimus flap and placement of tissue expanders. She presented to our office to proceed with her second stage breast reconstruction which was removal of bilateral and placement of implants.

Patient 5

This is a 65 year old female who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 124 pounds at the time of her surgery. She was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer and elected for bilateral mastectomies with immediate breast reconstruction with placement of tissue expander to implant based breast reconstruction at an outside facility. She then elected for bilateral removal of implants with capsulectomies and placement of tissue expanders. Once she was filled to a size of her preference she elected for bilateral removal of tissue expanders, capsulotomies with placement of smooth, round, ultra high-profile, Mentor, 455cc silicone gel implants with lateral capsulorrhaphies and acellular dermal matrix. She then elected for bilateral 3D nipple/areola reconstruction.

Patient 6

This is a 60 year old female who is 5 feet 5 inches and weighed 150 pounds at the time of surgery. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and elected for bilateral mastectomies with implant based breast reconstruction at an outside facility. Unfortunately she had a rupture of her implant and then elected for bilateral removal of implants, capsulectomies with placement of implants for breast reconstruction revision. She then elected for revision of right reconstructed breast with autologous fat grafting to bilateral breasts. She then elected for bilateral 3D nipple/areola tattooing to complete her breast reconstruction.

Patient 7

This is a 37 year old female who is 5 feet 7 inches and weighed 123 pounds at the time of surgery. Due to strong family history of breast cancer she elected for bilateral prophylactic nipple sparing mastectomies with immediate breast reconstruction with placement of sub-pectoral tissue expanders and ADM. Once she was filled to a size of her preference she elected for bilateral removal of her tissue expanders, capsulotomies with placement of silicone gel breast implants. a few years later, she then underwent a bilateral removal of implants with capsulotomies and placement of bilateral, Mentor, Xtra high-profile, 465 cc silicone gel breast implants for breast reconstruction revision. Unfortunately shortly after she developed a chronic seroma and then underwent right removal of implant, capsulectomy with placement of smooth, round, high-profile, extra-filled, 465 cc silicone gel breast implant to complete her breast reconstruction revision.

Patient 8

This is a 54 year old female who is 5 feet tall and weighed 150 pounds at the time of surgery. She was diagnosed with right breast cancer and elected for a right mastectomy with tissue expander to implant based breast reconstruction (left augmentation to optimize symmetry) at an outside facility. She underwent a bilateral removal of implants, right DIEP flap with phasix mesh to the abdomen and left mastopexy to optimize symmetry. A few months later, she then underwent a right revision of reconstructed breast with CV nipple flap and autologous fat grafting to left infraclavicular hollow. She then elected for right 2D areola tattooing to complete her breast reconstruction.

Patient 9

This is a 61 year old female who is 5 feet 2 inches and weighed 160 pounds at the time of her surgery. She was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer and elected for bilateral mastectomies with direct to implant based breast reconstruction at an outside facility. She then elected for breast reconstruction revision with removal of implants and replacement of tissue expanders for subsequent reconstruction at this same outside facility. She then elected for bilateral removal of tissue expanders, capsulotomies, placement of smooth, round, high-profile right breast 425 cc and left breast 550 cc silicone gel breast implants with right capsulectomy and placement of latissimus flap.
