What Does the Lymphatic Drainage Procedure Involve?

During the lymphatic drainage procedure, our certified lymphedema therapist will use gentle Vodder method techniques in areas of the body experiencing swelling. It is important to understand that lymphatic drainage is different from a standard massage in that lymphatic drainage involves Light movements to stimulate and direct lymph flow toward the affected areas' regional lymph nodes whereas typical massage involves deep pressure. Lymphatic drainage treatments are performed in one-hour sessions here at our practice.
