Preparing for Your Rhinoplasty / Nose Reshaping

How do I prepare for my rhinoplasty?
Patients should stop all medications that can increase the risk of excess bleeding in the weeks leading up to surgery. Patients should also arrange for a loved one to stay with them for the first few days after the operation to help with medications, adequate hydration, and nutritional needs.

Recovering After Your Rhinoplasty / Nose Reshaping

Our Jacksonville nose surgery team will help ensure a rapid recovery. The procedure is performed while the patient is under sedation or general anesthesia. Patients are asked to wear a nasal splint for approximately 7-10 days after the procedure. Some bruising does occur around the nose and eyes, but resolves within a few weeks. As the swelling diminishes, you will see the new and improved you. Some minor swelling can takes several months to completely resolve.
