Once injected into the targeted areas, KYBELLA™ destroys excess fat cells, which are gradually filtered out of the body through natural metabolic processes.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?

The treatment only takes 15 to 20 minutes, and a topical numbing solution can be applied to the skin before the injections to minimize discomfort. After the treatment, some mild bruising and swelling in the treatment area can be expected, swelling can vary from mild to more moderate depending on each patient’s body. The majority of swelling is seen in the first week after injection, but slight swelling can persist for 3 weeks after treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

For the best possible outcome, most individuals will need three to four KYBELLA™ treatment sessions about four to six weeks apart. While some patients may experience optimal results after just one treatment session, following the recommended treatment plan is essential to achieve the best possible outcome.

Aftercare

After the treatment, it's essential to follow proper aftercare instructions. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area, and avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may increase blood flow to the site for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
