The KYBELLA™ Procedure

KYBELLA™ is composed of deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule that aids in the breakdown of dietary fat in our bodies. The KYBELLA™ solution harnesses that molecule and utilizes it to target excess fat cells under the chin. Once injected into the targeted areas, the excess fat cells should be destroyed and then gradually be filtered from the body via natural metabolic processes.

The entire KYBELLA™ treatment typically takes only about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. A topical numbing solution can be applied to the skin before the injections to minimize discomfort. Some mild bruising and swelling in the treatment area can be expected after treatment; however, these effects should fade within a few days.
