This is a 67 year old female who is 5 feet 8 inches and weighed 168 pounds at the time of her surgery. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and elected for bilateral nipple sparing mastectomies with direct-to-implant based breast reconstruction. Unfortunately she developed an infection and elected to have her implants removed. She then elected for bilateral DIEP flaps with phasix mesh to the abdomen to complete her breast reconstruction./span>
